About Us

The Friends of the Pleasanton Library are valued members of our library community, helping to promote civic awareness, city pride, and citizen engagement. The Friends serve as advocates for the city library. As community volunteers, the Friends support programs designed for every age group, ethnic group, and interest throughout the City of Pleasanton.

The Friends are respected for their volunteer activities on behalf of the library and fundraising efforts to benefit the library and its patrons. Examples include the enthusiastically received Children's Summer Reading Program and Booklegger Program, free performances by local musicians, and the biannual book sales and bookstore located inside the Library.
